Living Room Design & Organizing | Right sizing this space

When it comes to living room design and organizing, these two words go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other. You can try, but living rooms tend to be spaces in your homes for a variety of functions:

  • kick back and relax
  • social area to entertain
  • a 'drop zone' for families at the end of a hard day
  • sit back and relax (maybe read a book)
  • maybe all of the above?

Living rooms tend to have a number of functions so getting this space designed to work for everyone is a must.

Furniture Sizing | Rules

Bigger is not always better when it comes to furniture in a space. While we often inherit furniture (either from another home, a family member, etc.), this is the number one reason why living rooms don't work for families.

In this e-course series, we look at a variety of furniture sizing tips and rules. And while rules are always meant to be broken, there are guidelines that I encourage you to follow.
