Don and I are hopeless when it comes to envisioning colors, fabrics and furniture selection for our home interior. In the past we tended to order what we could see on the showroom floor. When we bought our newly renovated house we knew we desperately needed help in making our new home warm and inviting. Through our search on Houzz for a decorating professional, we selected Sheri largely based on the encouraging testimonials about her professionalism, design and decorating knowledge, colour expertise, positive client relationships and ability to work to a budget. We met Sheri and instantly knew she was a lady we could work with and also have some fun in the process! We had a long timeline for possession of our home but were going to be away for 3 months of critical timing. We needed to make some initial furniture, fabric and colour choices for custom ordering lead times. Sheri made herself available to us at all hours during our early crunch time to get to know us, our desires and personal style. She has an amazing architectural computer program in which she entered our floor plan. We were able to load it onto our lap top and take it with us – what a fabulous tool! Sheri selected furniture, fabric options and colour choices which we could see in 3D imaging so we were able to make many of our decisions from afar. Sheri listened to what we envisioned and worked along side us to assist in all our choices and made smart recommendations not only to suit our taste, but also for our budget dollars. As our project manager, Sheri suggested a number of trades and suppliers she had worked with, who all did outstanding work. When there were some glitches (as appears to happen with a renovation) Sheri was on site and resolved the issue(s) in a timely manner. Sheri is warm, easy going, friendly and seemingly unflappable. We loved working with Sheri and are thrilled with the results in our new home. We would highly recommend Sheri for any decorating, design or renovation projects. Thank you Sheri!

We hired a trade’s person to coordinate our bathroom renovation, but soon discovered that we needed the help of a designer as nothing we could buy from the box stores would fit. The bathroom was a mass of angled walls that became difficult to work with. Sheri called it the wonky bathroom. We hired Sheri to prepare a design for us and to pick out the fixtures. She did a marvellous job at designing a functional bathroom that accommodated the complex layout and choose the colours and fixtures that complemented it. Throughout this project she kept us informed of any cost variances for the supplies she acquired. Like any renovation problems did arise, however Sheri was always on top of these to get them rectified and ensure the trades’ people delivered. She is very professional and committed to her clients. We would use Sheri again and highly recommend her for any type of renovation project.

I just read your newsletter and so loved it because I have been doing much of that, but still have a long ways to go so always need regular reminders along the way.  I really do think that all your "armchair counselling" has helped me.....particularly in terms of getting rid of things that were given to me, or have a history of who they came from etc.  I think about all of this when I do go through my cleaning and purging which has been a regular happening this fall.  From the "era" I was raised in, where my parents had to save every scrap of paper, clothes item etc. to 'recycle' in some way for survival, it has been a journey for me to face the necessary changes of our present times of "the throw away society" because we can easily replace things.  Same goes for things of nostalgic value.........where one may have received only a few very special cards, gifts, letters etc., we now have so many so choices are necessary so that our houses aren't filled with such items.  But it needs to begin 'in the head' and Sheri's very continuous, helpful suggestions, have always helped me adjust my head!
