A pop of pink in your home? 3 ways to add this accent colour to your interiors

Adding in accent colours is something everyone can do with little or no stress. Two weeks ago I wrote a blog about freshening up your space. In this blog I mentioned that my little rule of thumb is to have 10% accent colours in a space (with 60% main colour and 30% a secondary colour). Adding in a pop of pink may not be as hard as you think!

This week, I posted this image on Instagram and it got everyone's attention. As such, we're talking about pink this week!

Pops of Pink

Pink can be a soothing colour or it can be a bright and vibrant colour. While there are many wonderful pink wall colours, adding in a pop of pink doesn't have to be that big of a committment.

Whether it's bold or soft, here are 3 ways to add this colour into your interiors.

Art

Art is a great way to add in some accent colours to your space. As you will see, some are a soft pink while others are a bit brighter. Here are a few that I found that caught my eye.

Toss Cushions

Toss cushions are such an easy way to add just a small pop of colour. They are not a huge committment and can be changed out throughout the season. Whether it's a soft blush pink, of a hot pink velvet cushion. The possibilities are endless!

Decor

When it comes to adding in other decor items, there are so many pretty and fun ways to add in pink. We still need to remember that for this blog, we are talking about adding in pops of pink for roughly 10% of the space. Here are a few pink decor items that really caught my eye.

Pulling it all together

While it's great to see products, I always think it's important to also see how this can look in a space.

I can not find the name of the designer or photographer for this (after a very long hunt). If you happen to know who it is, I would love to give them credit!

Pops of Pink

Whether you are hoping to add some muted, soft blush pinks or go bold and strong, there's always a way to add this great colour as an accent..
