Using green in interiors: you'll be green with envy
With St. Patrick's Day coming, I thought it would be neat to focus on the colour green. There are many ways to use green in your interiors. While you can use green with your fixed elements, there are ways to add this colour that are not so permanent.
Fixed Elements
So what is a fixed element? Fixed elements are things in your home that are not easy to change out. Think cabinets, flooring, counters and tile. While these can always be ripped out and changed, there is typically a higher price tag (and mess) that is associated with fixed elements. That being said, there are some great ways that you can be using green in interiors.
Cabinets
Green cabinetry is slowing becoming more and more popular. Whether it's a deep green or a soft green, a great green (along with the rest of the elements added) can really make a space pop!
Tile
You can be using green in interiors with tile. Ohhh...the green tile...I adore! While my favourite colour is yellow, there are some serious green tiles that may make you green with envy!
Decorating
Using green in interiors can be easily added by decorating with this colour. It is a little easier to change out if you are worried you will tire of this colour. What is great about decorating with green is that it can be done with a splash or a major jolt.
Wall Colour
From the deep green to a soft green, there is bound to be a shade that may appeal to you. And let's not forget about the deep blue-green colours that also exist. Some of my favourite wall colours fall into this category.
Green with Envy
When it comes to this colour, I often associate it with blue. Blue and green are my favourite combinations while yellow is still my favourite stand alone colour.
When looking at using green in interiors, my clients tend to be open to adding in this colour into their space(s). Whether it is with accessories or fixed elements, green doesn't seem to turn people off.
