Pastel Colours: Spring into the season by adding some to your spaces

It's crazy to think that spring arrived this week. With everything going on in the world right now, I feel that this spring came in so quietly I almost forgot about it.

I love when Spring arrives. While we don't typically get a 'normal' spring (we still have snow and colder winds), I love the colours of spring. I also love knowing that right behind spring is summer - my favourite season. The thought of spending time outside is one that gets me through our cold winters. You know, the light at the end of the tunnel kind of thinking!

I always find pastel colours soothing - which is why I decided to write about some pretty, pretty colours.

Pastel Colours

Walls

Pastel colours scare some people as there is the thinking that a room may end up looking like a nursery.

While this can certainly happen, there are professionals (like me) to help you not make that mistake!

When it comes to pastel colours, think of the word 'light'. Light green, light pink, light....(fill in the blank). As these colours are less saturated than primary colours, you may get the feelings of light, soft, and calming.

Wallpaper

If you didn't want to go 'all in' with paint, wallpaper may be a good choice. There are so many great soft, romantic wallpapers that may just be a great fit for your space.

Our days may seem dark right now and there is an air of uncertainty. There is no denying that. I am however, a firm believer in taking control over the things we have control of. We have control over how our homes look. And while you may not be able to decorate at this exact time, my hope is that this may give you some inspiration for the future.

I wish you a joyful, peaceful home that uplifts your spirit.
