Home Refresh Project: Here's a sneak peek and what we have planned
We are getting to start an entire home refresh project for clients and I can't wait! Although there is still work to get ready, we are pulling together all of the elements to make this dream come a reality for our clients and their young family.
The plan for our home refresh project
For this project, we started our discussion around the kitchen. There were a couple of pain points that my clients wished to fix.
For this project, we are not removing any walls. We are however, redesigning part of it with particular attention to a new island reconfiguration.
Included in this project is also:
SECOND STORY
- A refresh of the master bathroom to include a new bathtub, new tile surround, new tile flooring, a cabinet reface, new counter, new mirror, sink, faucet, the creation of a recessed storage/medicine cabinet, and we will be installing a barn door from the bedroom to the bathroom.
- A refresh of the main bathroom to include all new tile flooring, new counter, sink and faucet and cabinet refacing.
- All new carpet.
- New tile surround for the fireplace.
- A refresh of the door casings (removing the keystones).
- The railing for the staircase to be painted two-tone.
- All new paint.
MAIN FLOOR
- All new flooring (Luxury Laminate Flooring).
- All new paint throughout.
- A refresh of the powder room.
- The new kitchen (see above) to include a brand new island configuration, the addition of a set of one lower cabinet and a new upper glass cabinet to extend the kitchen cabinets, and all new upper and lower doors (refacing).
DECORATING
We are also designing and sourcing the following:
- Main floor living space furniture and decor.
- A new kitchen/dining table.
- The bonus room furniture.
- The master bedroom furniture.
Refreshing a Space
I love these home refresh projects where there are no walls being removed and we come up with creative ways to make the home work for the home owners. While there is a lot of work to be done, this is going to feel like a new home when we are done with it! Just so you know, we have this scheduled for seven weeks. I will be using Facebook and Instagram during this project if you wanted to follow along.
