Colour of the Year 2022 | Looks like we're getting the green light!

Fall is an exciting time in the interior design world as paint companies announce their Colour of the Year 2022 (and yes, I am Canadian and spell colour with a /u/). This year, it looks like we got the green light - literally!

Paint Colour of the Year 2022

Benjamin Moore

October Mist is a great name for this Colour of the Year.

Sherwin Williams

Evergreen Fog evokes that emotion of 'let's snuggle in', doesn't it?

PPG

PPG chose Olive Sprig for their colour of the year. This colour is very similar to Benjamin Moore's choice.

Glidden

Glidden chose a more 'saucy' green. And by 'saucy', I mean a more vibrant and fun shade of green. And don't you think of fun when you hear the word guacamole?

Behr

Behr's Colour of the Year is the lightest colour out of all of the selections this year. With their name of Breezeway, it certainly evokes that emotion of breezy and calm.

Colour of the Year 2022 in Fashion

Green has been given the green light in fashion as well. Just the other day, this landed in my inbox.

Textiles

We are also seeing a lot of green in textiles as well.

Shop the Look

Well, that's a wrap for my Colour of the Year 2022. I have to admit, I was super surprised to see everyone select green. Whether it be muted or crisp, there just may be a shade of green for everyone! Is there one shade that speaks to you?

While you may not love green as a wall colour, there are many great green accents that you may find a special place in your home or your wardrobe. While I don't look great in green, the little booties may just be finding a place in my home!
