Black Fixtures in the kitchen and bath were hot, hot, hot at KBIS 2019

Going to KBIS is always exciting. We get to see the trends, we get to spot new and innovative products, and we always get to give our personal take on things we saw. With our Love At First Sight Project. rolling right along, I had my eyes peeled to see if black fixtures were hot. The entire theme for the home is black and white (including using gold accents for the lighting fixtures).  I was super excited to see that black fixtures were hot, hot, hot!

Black Fixtures

As I had black fixtures on my brain, I was happy to see it in full force at KBIS 2019.

Black Fixtures: Shower Doors

It was one year ago that this wall of showers doors was a hit on Instagram.

This year, the trend was simply black – a timeless colour in my personal opinion.

Black Fixtures: Faucets

A matte black finish, along with some new stainless steel black, was easily spotted at KBIS 2019 in the fixture department.  From kitchen faucets to bathroom faucets, black was in the house!

One thing I did notice is that most of the black fixtures were against white backgrounds. The white background makes the black fixures just pop! In my recent One Room Challenge, I paired a matte black faucet against white quartz counters and a white sink.

Every time I walk past this bathroom I stop in my tracks!

If you're looking to add some spice to your spaces, I've put together some of my top picks for you.

Now over to you. Would you be so bold to install black finishes?
