A shot of colour for a bathroom: Sneak Peek
When I say we are adding in a shot of colour for a bathroom, I am not kidding! A couple of weeks ago, I shared what we had planned for a powder room makeover for this family. I can't wait to show you what we actually picked for that space because it's not anything that we were thinking of!
For the Primary Bathroom, we are going to have a lot of fun with colour. So let's begin with the planning of the space first!
As Is
I'm happy to report that the bathroom has already gone through demo, so it actually doesn't look like this anymore.
The Wish List
It's often that my clients request a larger shower. It seems that in today's world, a spa shower for the primary bath is a must. For this family, they actually love taking a bath - just not in one they could drown in!
On the wish list were the following items:
- Maintain a his/her sink and vanity space.
- Increase the storage.
- Create usable storage.
- Install a larger tub/shower combination.
- Add colour!
The Options We Looked At
While a shot of colour for a bathroom was on the list, we first had to figure out the best use of space for this family. We looked at three different options.
First Option
Second Option
Third Option
After reviewing Option 1 and 2, we also decided to look at separating the vanities. This truly would give a his/her space.
What We're Moving Ahead With
While all three options had pros and cons, it was Option 3 that my clients decided to go with. Now that the function was planned out, it was time to get to the pretty. And this is where the shot of colour comes into play.

Let's Take A Peek
There's nothing more fun than seeing the potential of your space. Here are a few shots of what the plan is for this primary bathroom.
We look forward to having the powder room and this Primary Bathroom completed by the end of November!
Adding in a shot of colour to your home - Shop the Look
Not everyone is brave enough to add pops of colour with their fixed elements. As you may see in the rendering, we're going to be adding in more colour with the decor items. I've pulled together some easier, non-permanent ways to add some colour into your home.
